18 AugCentral Valley Expressway Construction Update

The following photos show the progress, to date, on the Central Valley Expressway (Highway 16 Extension).  Thank you to Dave Butzier & Idaho Airships for providing the photographs to the Central Valley Expressway Coalition.

This photo is looking to the North, from Chinden Blvd. showing the asphalt base pavement, between Chinden and the Joplin Court Structure. July 18th, 2013

This shot is looking to the east and the Joplin Court Bridge and the Phyllis Canal structure.  Asphalt base pavement in place from the Joplin Bridge back to Chinden Blvd. to the right of the photo. July 18th, 2013.

This shot is taken from the north end, looking south, showing the alignment at SH-44, looking toward the Boise River Bridge. July 18th, 2013.

Showing the progress of the Boise River Bridge Deck.  It is looking to the southwest, showing the concrete deck in place from the north end of the bridge, towards the Boise River low water channel.  Forming the deck near the river channel. July 18th, 2013.

This one is looking north along the alignment above Chinden Blvd.  The white strip on the black asphalt is the concrete pavement for the southbound mainline lanes.  The southbound lanes have been paved half way between the Joplin Bridge and the Boise River Bridge. August 13th, 2013.
