23 JulBid Awarded for Phase 2 of Hwy 16 Extension

The Idaho Transportation Department has awarded the contract for construction of phase 2 (Phyllis Canal) of the Highway 16 extension project to Concrete Placing Company, the same Idaho company that is currently constructing the phase 1 Boise River Bridge Crossing.  Concrete Placing Company’s winning bid was $10.8 million. 23 JulITD Board approves $180 million in projects

The Idaho Transportation Board voted last Thursday to approve $180 million in road projects, including the Meridian Interchange.  Construction is slated to begin in 2014.  There were no updates relating to the remaining leg of the Highway 16 extension project, from U.S. 20/26 to I-84.
